Aquila Private Game Reserve

Aquila has several safari options on offer. These enable guests to experience the reserve in a way that best suits their interests and schedules.

Day Game Drive Safari
Departs Cape Town at 06h00: Pick-up from hotel or guesthouse and transfer to Aquila.
Welcome drink on arrival served in the reception area.
Depart on a 2 to 3 hour safari (in 4X4 safari vehicle with ranger guide) – Visit San Rock Art site.
Buffet lunch served in the African boma restaurant

After lunch guests are able to relax at the pool and are welcome to browse our African curio shop.
Approximately at 15h00: Return to Cape Town.

Day Horse-back Safari
Horse Trails

Horse trails are available for evening and early morning game viewing.
Game viewing on horseback is an unforgettable experience as one can get so much closer to the wildlife. It has been described as an epic experience and adventure.
Picnics at our rock-pools or lookout lapas, as well as overnight mountain horseback safaris can be arranged.

Game Drive & Horse-back safari
As the name suggests, this safari offers you a game drive and a horse-back safari.

You get a three-hour game drive with one of our experienced rangers and visit our world-renowned Khoi San Bushmen rock art sites.
Game viewing on horseback is an unforgettable experience as one can get so much closer to the wildlife. It has been described as an epic experience and adventure.

Time:
08h00-09h00 – Breakfast is served
09h00 – Game Drive (approximately 2-3 hours)
12h30- Lunch
15h00- Guests head off on either a horseback or quadbike safari
Approximately at 16h30: Return to Cape Town

Inverdoorn Game Lodge & Safari’s ten thousand hectares dedicated to conservation contains over 1200 wild animals representing 28 different species and hundreds of species of birdlife.

Inverdoorn Game Lodge & Safari runs a Cheetah Rehabilitation Program on site open, naturally, for overnight visitors to explore and visit. At Inverdoorn, we understand that visiting an African Safari is a once off opportunity, so our safaris are specifically set up for visitors to get maximum first-hand African wild animals interaction.

Visitors can track animals on 3-hour game drives in our specifically designed Land Rover 4×4 game viewing vehicles with rangers on hand to help you find the animals and provide accurate, up-to-date information of flora and fauna.
