The wine list has been designed to showcase South Africa’s highest quality wines. Made up of approximately 70 entries, each carefully selected on the basis of quality and food-friendliness.
The wine list incorporates wines which have received Michelangelo awards (silver and gold), Veritas awards and John Platter ratings (3½* and more) to offer exceptional quality at several price intervals.
Wine Preservation
Having installed a highly efficient wine preservation system, Salt is able to offer all wines on the list, by the glass.
This innovation is designed to inspire diners to experiment with food and wine combinations to further enhance their dining experience.
Cocktails
With its prime position on the rocks of Bantry Bay, Salt is the only place in Cape Town to truly savour our glorious sunsets in such style and elegance.
Diners may choose from the cocktail menu that offers a lively mix of delicious liquid taste sensations. ‘’Salt Sunset’; ‘Berry Press’; and ‘Ruby Red’, are an absolute must-have, and as for the Chocolate Martini…
Salt regularly creates seasonal cocktails depending on fruit availability.
Tapas
The tapas menu features heavenly morcels such as chilled tiger prawns and lemon aioli, squid tempura with ponzu dipping sauce and chargrilled asparagus with extra virgin olive oil and parmesan shavings.
A daily savoury plate is also available and can include spiced olives, salmon tartare on corn blinis and skordalia on toast.
As all the wines are available by the glass you can accompany your tapas with your favourite glass of wine, or experiment with something you have always wanted to try.

Coffees & Teas
Serious about great espresso, Salt has enlisted the expertise of Origin Coffee Roasting to source the finest coffee beans, which are freshly roasted and blended to perfection, to create the best coffee in Cape Town.
A fine selection of speciality loose leaf teas and infusions are also available. The selection includes a House blend (Ceylon and Darjeeling), Gunpowder Green Tea and mint, Earl Grey with blue flowers and a Fruit Infusion.
