Mostwari Private Game Reserve is dedicated to providing the finest possible safari experience for guests who visit from around the world. Careful consideration goes into curating the finest team of dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic rangers that go out of their way to ensure visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the very best of what the bountiful Timbavati and Umbabat reserves have to offer. Game drives and nights around the fire at Motswari provide the perfect opportunity for rangers to share their incredible knowledge and personal experiences with guests. Home to an exquisite abundance of wildlife, ranging from the Big Five and lesser-known animal species, to insects, birds and a diverse array of plant life, there is so much to see at Mostwari. Our rangers all have many exciting stories and insights to share and their extraordinary encounters and captivating tales have kept many a guest enthralled and entertained, making their Motswari experience both memorable and rewarding.
One such ranger, who we are proud to introduce this week, is Andries Ndlovu. Andries started his journey as a bartender at Lion Sands Private Game Reserve in the heart of the Sabi Sands and very soon discovered his unwavering passion for nature and wildlife. “If I wasn’t bartending, I was reading up on animals,” explains Andries. “It wasn’t long before I got my guiding qualifications and I haven’t looked back since!”
Soon after Andries became a qualified guide, he made his second home at Motswari which, according to him, “best describes being in complete wilderness”. He loves being able to share his incredible knowledge with guests and has a keen sense of the animals he shares the bush with. “Guiding isn’t a job for me,” says Andries. “It is a life style.”
Motswari is a truly special place that Newmark, the Motswari team and all of the reserve’s dedicated rangers hold close to their hearts. We look forward to sharing more thoughts from our rangers with you and, even more so, to welcoming you to the reserve in the near future.
